Copy a song or playlist link

1. Open the music you mean. In Spotify on mobile or tablet, open the song, album, or playlist, tap its three-dot menu, and choose Share. Use the option to copy a link. On desktop, right-click the item or open its three-dot menu, choose Share, then Copy Link.
2. Choose a web link. Use the copied HTTPS address, rather than embed code or a spotify: URI. Song addresses can contain /track/; playlist addresses can contain /playlist/. Keep the full copied link and check the item title.
3. Paste your own link. Choose Text or link and paste the complete Spotify Share link into Text or URL. Use a real playlist, album, track, or profile link copied from Spotify. Do not enter a song title or upload an audio file.
4. Check before sharing. Open the link signed out or ask someone outside your account to test it. Download the code and scan the saved image. Confirm that it reaches the intended song or playlist, even if Spotify asks the visitor to log in.

A listening-club handout

For a weekly music club, use a public playlist and label the code “Open this week's playlist.” Print its title and owner beside it so readers can recognize it. Adding songs to that same playlist can keep the printed link useful. Creating a different playlist produces a different destination; update the code if you switch to it.

The link lasts only as long as its destination

The squares store the link itself, without a redirect through this site. We host neither music nor a playlist landing page. Our code never expires, and its downloaded image remains readable if the generator closes. Your entered address stays in your browser during creation and download.

Spotify still controls the destination. Deleted content, changed URLs, or a playlist made private can stop visitors reaching it. A playlist title change is different from an address change: test the existing URL before deciding to reprint. Listening can depend on login, account access, and availability. Scanning does not guarantee that a track will play.

Private playlists and Spotify's own Codes

A normal public playlist link is the better choice for a lasting handout. Spotify says special links shared to give selected people access to a private playlist expire after seven days. Putting such a link into a static QR does not extend that time. Do not print a private invitation and describe it as permanent access.

Spotify also offers Show Spotify Code in the content menu. Its scanner is under Search, then the search bar, camera, and SCAN. That is useful within Spotify's own flow, and Spotify offers high-resolution Codes too. Choose our ordinary QR when you want a standard web-link code, SVG artwork, or to create it in a browser without the app.

Print and fix problems

Print at least 2 cm / 0.8 in wide, using dark squares on a light background. Leave the quiet margin blank and keep the pattern sharp. SVG scales for print layouts; PNG dimensions are measured in pixels. Test one finished invitation before printing many, and enlarge a dense code if needed.

If no link is detected, check the whole square, focus, and lighting. Apple documents QR link tapping on iPhone and Google does on Pixel; other Android cameras vary. If a link appears but music is unavailable, open it directly and check the playlist's access settings, login, and connection. The phone may use Spotify or a browser depending on its setup.
