Build your contact card

1. Enter Full name. Choose Contact card and enter the name you want people to see in Full name. This field is required. Use a name your new contact will recognize.
2. Add Company and Job title. Use Company (optional) for your organization and Job title (optional) for your role. Leave either empty if it does not apply.
3. Add Phone and Email. Use Phone (optional) and Email (optional) for one number and one email address you want to share. Include the phone's country code when sharing internationally. Use a work address if the card is for work.
4. Add Website if useful. Enter a full address beginning with https:// or http:// in Website (optional). The tool checks this link format. Test the address yourself. Scanning the contact card may offer to save it rather than open the website.
5. Save the QR image. The tool uses dark squares on a light background. Download PNG for an image or SVG for a scalable print layout.
6. Test the saved contact. Scan with a compatible phone scanner, inspect the offered details, and save a test contact. Open that contact and check every field, including the name's display and sorting. Delete the test entry afterward if you wish.

A worked example: meeting someone new

Imagine Alex Rivera is sharing work details at an event. Enter Alex Rivera in Full name, Community Workshop in Company (optional), and Event Coordinator in Job title (optional). Add your own details in Phone (optional), Email (optional), and Website (optional). Scan and save a test contact, then check all its entries. Ask someone with a different phone to check it too.

Understand what is included

The Contact card tab builds a vCard 3.0 record from your fields. It includes your full name and any company, job title, phone, email, and website you enter. You do not need to export or paste a contact file. Check the saved contact before sharing the image.

A scanner must understand contact records to offer a save action. Different apps can display or import fields differently, so do not assume every phone's camera will save every detail. The code shares the information you entered; it does not silently add you to someone's contacts.

Plan for changes and privacy

The contact details are stored directly in a static code. Anyone with the image can read them, even without visiting your website. Include only information you would put on a public business card. Generation happens in your browser and does not send those entries to us.

You cannot edit a downloaded code or count scans here. If your number, email, or website link changes, create a new code and reprint your cards. An existing saved contact will not update when you make a replacement code. For information that changes often, consider a URL code linking to a page you maintain at a stable address.

Printing and troubleshooting

Reserve at least 2 cm / 0.8 in of width for the code, with more room for a dense contact record. Keep the supplied blank quiet margin clear. Use dark squares on a light background and avoid stretching the image. SVG scales cleanly; use a suitably sized PNG if your printer requests an image file. Test one actual card before printing many.

If the scanner shows plain contact text, try a reader that supports vCard. If a field is missing after saving, compare the scanned record with the saved entry and test another contacts app. If scanning fails entirely, increase the printed size and remove unnecessary contact fields.
