Copy the place's Share link

1. Open the correct place. In Google Maps on Android, search for the place, then tap its name or address at the bottom. Check the street and town, especially when several branches have the same business name.
2. Use Share. Tap Share on the place panel and copy the link from the available sharing choices. Google documents choosing an app to share it; the phone's copy choice can vary. On a computer, Maps sharing offers Send a link and Copy link.
3. Paste your own address. Choose Text or link and paste the complete copied Maps Share link into Text or URL. Keep every identifying part of the address. Check that it points to your intended location.
4. Check the destination. Open your pasted address directly, then scan the saved QR image. Confirm the place name, address, and map pin. Test it from a visitor's phone before using it in a public design.

An appointment card with a clear purpose

A studio could put a code on its appointment card with the label “Find our studio on Google Maps.” Print the street address beside it as well. If the studio has two branches, make separate cards or label the branch clearly. A link to the wrong branch can scan perfectly and still send a visitor to the wrong place.

This guide is for finding a place. If you want customers to write a review, use our Google review guide and the appropriate review link instead. A place page and a review-writing link serve different purposes, so check which one you copied.

Only your link is in the image

The code stores the exact URL you provide. We do not fetch the listing, embed a map, display Google photos, or host directions on this page. Your entered address stays in your browser during generation. When a visitor opens the link, Google handles the destination and its information.

We add no redirect through our site. A shortened Maps share link still relies on Google's own link handling. The image has no expiry timer we control, but that does not promise that every external link or listing will remain available forever.

What if the business moves?

A place link can keep pointing to the business after a move only if the place listing is updated. Update the existing business listing's address rather than assuming the QR knows your new location. Google may require verification again. Check the old link once the update appears and confirm that it shows the new address.

This is conditional, not a guarantee that a particular share link survives every listing change. If the old address still opens, or the destination has changed, correct the listing or create a new code as needed. A coordinate or dropped-pin link may still identify the original spot; it is not the same as an updated business listing.

Scanning, printing, and troubleshooting

A compatible camera offers the web link. We make no promise about which app opens; the phone's installed apps and settings affect that step. This code does not automatically start navigation. The visitor chooses what to do at the destination.

Print at least 2 cm / 0.8 in wide, with dark squares on a light background and a clear blank quiet margin. SVG scales for layouts. Test one finished card before printing many. If no link appears, check image size and sharpness. If the place is wrong, check the copied link and listing instead.
