Make one code for each store

1. Find your published listing. Open the app's public store page and copy its complete address. Check the app name and developer. Avoid your developer dashboard, a search-results page, or an unpublished testing screen.
2. Make the iPhone code. Choose Text or link and paste your complete App Store address into Text or URL. Use the real address copied from your published listing, including its app ID.
3. Make the Android code. Paste your complete Google Play listing address and download a separate file. Keep its application ID and any other identifying parts of the copied link.
4. Label and test both. Put “Download for iPhone” beside one and “Download for Android” beside the other. Scan each saved file on the matching phone and check that it reaches your app, then test the finished layout.

A welcome card with two choices

Imagine a museum gives visitors an app for an audio tour. Put two separate squares on its welcome card, each with a clear phone label. Give each file a useful local name when saving it so the designer does not swap them. Leave enough space for the labels without crowding the codes' blank borders.

Also print the app's name and developer. That gives visitors a way to check they have reached the intended listing. A QR can save typing, but a label helps people choose the right square before they scan.

Why one static code cannot choose the store

A static code stores one fixed URL. It cannot choose a different store for each phone, and we run no redirect service to make that decision. Putting an App Store address into this tool makes a code for that address, even if an Android user scans it.

If you already have a download page that chooses the right store, you can link to that page instead. Paste its complete public address and test its behavior on both phones. Your page supplies the routing; this generator supplies only the QR image. We do not create or host a download page for you.

The store controls the next step

The code opens a link in a compatible scanner. The phone may use a store app or a browser; we do not promise which one. It does not install the app automatically. Availability, device compatibility, account requirements, and any price remain the store's and app owner's responsibility.

The downloaded image contains your link directly, with no expiry timer from us. The listing still needs to exist at that address. Removing the app or changing its destination can make old prints unhelpful. If you use your own download page, keep that address working and maintain its store links.

Print and fix mistakes before a batch

Make each square at least 2 cm / 0.8 in wide, with dark code colors on a light background. Keep the blank quiet margin free of captions, borders, and other graphics. SVG scales in print layouts; PNG works for everyday image sharing. Use a larger square if the pattern is dense.

Print one card at the intended size and test both codes before printing many. If one reaches the wrong listing, compare its saved address with the app's public page. If the image does not scan, check sharpness, contrast, and margins before changing the URL.
