Sign PDF free: draw, type or upload your signature

This adds a picture of your signature, not a certified digital signature. There is no certificate, identity check or audit trail, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. Nothing is uploaded: your PDF and signature stay in this browser.

Free, with no account and no watermark.

The PDF libraries load only after you choose a file. Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first.

Everything else in your PDF is kept as it was. Open the saved file and check each page before you send it. Signatures drawn with a mouse often look rough; a finger, pen or an uploaded picture usually looks better.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

It puts a picture of your signature on the page, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a certified digital signature: there is no certificate, no identity check and no audit trail. Whether a simple image signature is accepted depends on who asked for it and your local law, so check with the person or office that needs the document.

Is my PDF uploaded, and is it free?

No. The PDF and your signature are handled entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded or stored by API Tool Calls. It is free, with no sign up and no watermark.

Does the rest of my PDF stay the same?

Yes. The signature, date and initials are added on top of the pages you choose, and everything else in the file, including text, links and form fields, is kept. Digital signatures that were already on the original may be invalidated by any change, so sign the last copy.

How do I use a signature I already have as a picture?

Choose Upload, pick a PNG or JPG of your signature, and tick Remove white background so the paper colour does not show on the page. Use a photo taken in good light on plain white paper for the cleanest result.

Can I sign more than one page?

Yes. Go to any page and add a signature, date or initials there. Each one stays where you put it, and you can add as many as you like before saving.

Can I move or resize the signature after placing it?

Yes. Drag it to move it, drag the small square at its corner to resize it, or select it and use the arrow keys. The cross button removes it.
