Crop PDF: trim page margins
Remove visible margins from selected PDF pages without changing text or image quality. Everything runs in your browser. Files never leave your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Cropping hides margins and does not delete what is under them. Hidden text and pictures remain recoverable. For permanent removal of sensitive content, use Redact PDF.
Limit: one unencrypted PDF, 100 MB and 200 pages. Saving changes invalidates existing digital signatures.

Cropping uses pdf-lib (MIT). Previews use PDF.js by Mozilla (Apache-2.0).

Frequently asked questions
Is this PDF cropper free and private?
Yes. No account is needed. Your PDF is opened, previewed and cropped in your browser. Files never leave your device; nothing is uploaded.
Does cropping delete the content outside the page?
No. Cropping hides margins and does not delete what is under them. The content remains in the PDF and may be recovered. To permanently remove sensitive information, use the Redact PDF tool.
Can I crop only certain pages, including rotated pages?
Yes. Enter page numbers or ranges, or all for every page. Margins are measured from each page’s displayed edges, including its rotation. The same margins apply to selected pages; other pages keep their existing boxes. Preview different page sizes before saving.
Does cropping preserve text and image quality?
Yes. The tool changes the CropBox and MediaBox without turning pages into pictures or recompressing images. Selectable text stays selectable, including hidden margin text. Printing boxes are adjusted to the crop. Existing digital signatures will be invalidated by saving changes.
What PDFs can I crop?
Choose one unencrypted PDF up to 100 MB and 200 pages. Enter non-negative margins that leave some width and height on every selected page. Password-protected, damaged or oversized documents are rejected. Large files may exceed your browser’s memory.
