Frequently asked questions
Does anything leave my device?
No. Your media never leaves the device. The camera, microphone and screen are used only in your browser; nothing is uploaded or recorded to our server. Access starts only when you press a button.
What if permission is denied or a device is busy?
Allow access in your browser’s site settings and try again. If no device is found, connect one. If it is in use by another app, close that app. These tools require a secure browser connection.
What settings and picture will I see?
The preview shows your selected camera. Resolution and frame rate come from the actual camera track settings, where the browser reports them. Mirror preview and snapshot flips the picture horizontally.
Can I save a picture or switch cameras?
Snapshot to PNG saves one frame at the camera’s actual resolution. After stopping, select a different camera and press Start test. Stop and leaving this page release the camera.
