    Frequently asked questions

    Which sounds can I make?

Start with pickup or coin, laser or shoot, explosion, power-up, hit or hurt, jump, blip or select, or Random. Every press makes a fresh variation and plays it. Mutate makes a small change to your current sound.

Are my sounds uploaded, and can I use them commercially?

Runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded. Sounds you make are yours to use, including in commercial games. No account, microphone permission or payment is needed.

    What can I download?

Download mono WAV audio at 44.1 kHz and 16-bit PCM, ready for game engines and video editors. Download all saves the last ten sounds in history as a ZIP. History lasts for this page session; download it before closing the page.

How do I share or remake a sound?

Copy the short settings string and send it to someone, or keep it for later. Paste it into the settings box and press Load settings. It includes the noise seed, sliders, wave shape and volume, so the same settings remake the same WAV in this browser.

    How do the sliders work?

Envelope sets attack, sustain and decay. Frequency sets pitch and slide; vibrato adds pitch wobble. Duty changes square and sawtooth waves. Filters shape bright or bass tones. Show all settings reveals pitch changes, repeat, sweeps, resonance and flanger. Changes play after a short pause; volume affects playback and export.
