WebP to JPG Converter

Choose WebP images, adjust JPG quality if needed, then convert and save each file. You can select several images for batch conversion.

Free to use, with no sign up. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

WebP is a modern image format that keeps web pictures small, with support for transparency and animation.

Convert to JPG for apps, uploads and editors that refuse WebP. JPG replaces transparent areas with white. The quality slider starts at 90%; higher quality keeps more detail, while lower quality makes smaller files.

Need PNG or other formats? Use the full image converter.

Images above 33,554,432 pixels or 32,768 pixels on either side are reduced automatically to fit the browser.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded, and is it free?

No. Each file never leaves the device. This tool reads and processes files entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded or stored by API Tool Calls. It is free, with no sign up.

Will I lose quality when converting to JPG?

JPG uses lossy compression, so some detail can be lost. The quality slider starts at 90%; raise it for more detail or lower it for a smaller file. Converting does not restore detail already lost in the WebP image.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG cannot keep transparency. Transparent areas become white. Choose PNG in the output format if you need to keep a transparent background.

Can I convert many WebP files at once?

Yes. Select several images at once and convert the batch. Each image gets its own result and Save image link, using the selected output format and quality.

What happens to animated WebP images?

An animated WebP becomes one still frame when converted to JPG. The animation is not preserved.

Why does my browser say it cannot open the file?

The file may be broken or use a format your browser cannot decode. Try a current browser or export the original image again. Renaming a file to .webp does not change its format. This page can only convert images your browser can open.
