Frequently asked questions
Does my invoice leave my device?
No. Your invoice never leaves the device. PDF creation happens in your browser with nothing sent to API Tool Calls. Drafts are saved only in this browser’s localStorage when available; Clear draft removes the saved draft.
How are totals calculated?
Each quantity times unit price is rounded to integer cents, half up. The discount amount is subtracted from the subtotal before tax. Tax is rounded once to cents, half up. Negative values and a discount larger than the subtotal are rejected.
Can descriptions span pages and use any language?
Long descriptions wrap and many line items flow onto additional pages. The PDF uses Helvetica with WinAnsi characters: most Western European text works. Unsupported characters show a plain error naming the field so you can replace them.
What does Clear draft do?
Clear draft resets the form, removes its saved local draft and clears the PDF save link. PDFs you already saved on your device remain there. Choose US Letter or A4 before creating the PDF.
