    Frequently asked questions

Do my files leave my device?

No. Your media never leaves the device. Frames are read and encoded in your browser; nothing is uploaded to API Tool Calls.

What are the size and length limits?

Use at most 150 frames and 15 seconds of video, with video sampling from 5 to 15 frames per second. Output dimensions range from 16 to 960 pixels. Each input file is limited to 100 MB and the finished GIF to 50 MB.

How are images fitted and colors handled?

Each image is fitted inside the same output width and height without cropping, with white space around it as needed. GIF supports up to 256 colors per frame, so photographs and video may lose detail. Video sound is omitted.

    What does frame delay do?

For images, frame delay sets how long each image stays visible. For video, timing follows the selected frames per second. Choose forever or once for looping.
