    Frequently asked questions

Is the collage maker free, and are photos uploaded?

It is free with no account or sign-up. Your photos never leave your device: image decoding, previews and export run in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How many photos can I combine?

Combine 2–9 JPG, PNG or WebP photos. Add more with the file chooser, remove a photo or change the order with the Move buttons. Choose a balanced grid, a horizontal strip, a vertical strip or one large featured photo with smaller photos beside it.

Will the layout crop my photos?

Fill cells uses a centered crop to fill each cell without stretching. Choose Show whole photos to keep each photo complete, with the background colour visible around it. The original files are unchanged.

Can I download a PNG or JPEG collage?

Yes. PNG keeps sharp edges without lossy compression; JPEG lets you adjust quality to reduce file size. Both use your chosen background colour, including behind transparent photos. Output width and height can each be 320–4096 pixels. There is no watermark.

What are the photo size limits?

Each photo can be up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels, with at most 100 MB of selected files in total. Photos are resized to at most 2048 pixels on their longest side for processing. Large output sizes may look softer when enlarged. Very large gaps in narrow strips must be reduced to leave room for the photos. Use still photos; animated WebP or PNG files contribute one browser-decoded frame.
