Does my photo leave my device?
No. Nothing is uploaded: your camera and photos stay in this browser. Scanning uses local code with no third-party loads. History is saved only in this browser.
What does a GS1 barcode tell me?
When present, GS1 fields show the product number (GTIN), use-by date and batch or lot. Day 00 means the last day of the month. Invalid dates are not guessed.
How do I scan a barcode?
Start the camera and point it at the whole barcode, upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP photo, or paste an image. Clear photos with space around the barcode work best.
