Select a solid and enter its dimensions in a single length unit. For circular solids, enter radius rather than diameter. Pyramid means a rectangular base; height is perpendicular to that base, not the slant height.
Your result
Cube: V = side³. Box: V = lwh. Cylinder: V = πr²h. Cone: V = πr²h/3. Sphere: V = 4πr³/3. Rectangular pyramid: V = lwh/3. 1 m³ = 1,000 L.

Worked example
A cylinder with radius 2 ft and height 5 ft holds π × 2² × 5 = 20π ≈ 62.83185307 ft³, or approximately 1.779199915 m³.

Frequently asked questions
Which pyramid does this calculate?
A pyramid with a rectangular base. Enter base length and width, and height perpendicular to the base.
Should I enter diameter or radius?
Enter radius, which is half the diameter. A diameter of 4 feet means a radius of 2 feet.
Are cubic units the same as area units?
No. Area uses square units and volume uses cubic units. The result shows the entered cubic unit plus cubic feet, cubic metres and litres.
