Use +, − (typed as -), *, /, ^, ! and parentheses, with explicit multiplication such as 2*pi. Constants are pi and e. Functions: sqrt, cbrt, abs, ln (natural log), log (base 10), exp, sin, cos, tan, asin, acos and atan. Function names are lowercase and need parentheses. Exponent notation such as 1e-3 is supported. Limit: 512 characters, 256 tokens and 64 nested operations; factorial uses integers 0–170 and trig inputs are bounded to ±10⁹. Non-real results, undefined tangent and nonfinite results produce errors. Results use floating-point arithmetic, shown to 14 significant digits.
Your result
Parentheses and functions first; factorial, then powers (right associative), unary signs, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction. −2^2 = −4; 2^−3 = 0.125. log(x) = log₁₀(x); ln(x) = logₑ(x); radians = degrees × π/180. Inverse trig returns the selected angle unit.

Worked example
2^3 + sqrt(81) = 8 + 9 = 17. In degrees, sin(30) = 0.5; in radians, sin(pi/2) = 1.
How to use this tool
Type an expression or use the keypad. Select degrees or radians, then Calculate.
Frequently asked questions
Why does sin(30) change in radians?
The angle mode sets how direct trig interprets input and how inverse trig returns angles. Thirty degrees and thirty radians are different angles.
Can this solve algebra symbolically?
This evaluates bounded real numeric expressions. It does not solve symbolic equations or draw graphs.
Is this free and private?
Yes. These calculations run in your browser, without sign-up or uploading your entries.
